The Peanut-Mobile has arrived

Peanut's dad got a new truck, which will enable him to travel the long distance from home to work in safety (and comfort). He's still getting used to the manual transmission, but when he's a pro, he can take peanut and I on a TRIP (like Chetumal), since I haven't been anywhere in ages (hint, hint p.daddy. Are you reading this?). Now, I have to learn how to drive...

Peanut's Rocking Chair

This is peanut's rocking chair, kindly donated by peanut's grandma Reyes. We'll have some comfy feeding times in peanut's room, rocking back and forth. :-) Oh and guess what? Peanut's getting a crib donated from his/her cousin Alicia, because she found her first baby's crib in storage.

I'll have to tell peanut how much help and love was shown before peanut was ever born. Thanks to Tia Noemi for shopping for us, thanks to Tia Emogene for the same (especially the cute onesie), thanks to Alicia and Gaby for maternity clothes, thanks to Tia Alice for baby clothes, Tia G. for feeding me, Gemma for peanut shell, grandma Reyes for sending baby supplies, and my own mama for crocheting peanut's first afghan blankie and buying so many bits and pieces. Oh and special thanks to peanut's dad for GREEN MANGO and being patient with my grumpy hormonalness.

Update on the Boy Name

Well since mom has not informed everyone on the name, I will take the initiative. Yess soooo the girl name is set in stone right now - MIA NOELLE AWE REYES. The boys name however has been up and down. Well he started as JAMES WYNTER AWE REYES, but mom didn't feel like he was a James, so he became TIMOTHY WYNTER AWE REYES. Recently Timothy has been changed to GAVIN WYNTER AWE REYES. I wonder what peanut would like better...hehehe.

So let us know which one you guys prefer:

TIMOTHY WYNTER
OR
GAVIN WYNTER

Peanut floating about

This is the best scan pic from last Tuesday's visit. Peanut's dad claims you can see a little face. I can sorta make out a spine on the left and maybe 2 little white hands on either side of the head. This peanut's a real contortionist all curled up on his/her back. I hope to see a better image next time, in 3 weeks! Woo! I also hope to be able to tell if we have a little MIA or a little GAVIN floating about in there. Grannie Ada and Tia Alice are driving peanut's mom crazy since they're dying to know the sex. Thanks Tia Alice for the cute baby clothes :-)

Scan @ 15 weeks

I had another U/S on Tuesday, will post the photo later. I can't really make much of the images this time, peanut wasn't cooperating (signs of things to come?).

The details from the Dr. visit:
  • I have gained a total of 7lb (mostly in my ASS and hips i tell ya)
  • My bloodwork and urinalysis were both fine, and my bloodtype is A+ (like my grades)
  • Peanut looks healthy, and was waving a little hand at us
  • I apparently have uterine fibroids (nothing to worry about I'm told)
  • A 5cent bet was made that Peanut's dad will get woozy at delivery

Baby Dream

I'm sitting here waiting for class to start, so let me tell you about my recent dream. I dreamt that I was in a store with my mom and we were shopping for baby and it was all GIRL stuff. And then, I actually saw the baby and she was chubby with short, jet black hair and dark eyes.

My sister (who predicted the pregnancy, Witchypoo, BRUJA!!) would probably say that this means that I will have a BOY. I guess we shall see!!! ? or ?

Peanut in the Jungle

On Friday, I went on what will probably be one of the last adventures I'll have until Peanut's here. My co-worker and I were treated to half-day off on Friday to visit some natural sink holes in the forest. Look at you Peanut! Not even born yet, and already doing cool stuff!

As Peanut's dad will tell you, I'm usually very bouncy and hyper with any physical activities but I could really tell the difference in my stamina this time. I was really tired after the 15 minute walk to the sinkhole.

But not too tired to be silly and stick my tongue out for the camera!

Here's a lizard. I hope you'll enjoy bugs and reptiles as much as I do, Peanut! Just don't go getting salmonella all the time like me :-)

This is the sinkhole - a natural collapsed cave. You can see the tops of all the trees way down there at the bottom. Yikes, I don't like heights!

I am happy to report that I didn't trip over once throughout the whole trek through the jungle. However, there was one moment where I went running down a leaf-littered slope, and Emogene had to save me from banging into a tree. I told them not to worry, if I was gonna fall, I would have thrown myself backwards for you Peanut :-) hehe! I can't wait to do fun things like these with you and your Dad.

The Name Game

It'll be some more weeks before we know if the peanut is a boy or a girl, but here are the names we are thinking of.

GIRL: Mia Noelle
(My sis is called Maria. When I was little I used to say "Mia" / Noelle for CHRISTMAS, my fave time of year, and also for peanut's auntie NOEmi)

BOY: Well, we originally had "James" for the first name after Peanut's dad (Jaime)...but it hasn't grown on me sooo we have a shortlist to choose from...
  • Xaivier
  • Sebastien
  • Zachary
  • Raeden
  • Timothy
I think I'm liking Timothy the best at the moment. "Timothy Wynter" (Wynter for CHRISTMAS of course hehe). According to behindthename.com, it means: From the Greek name Τιμοθεος (Timotheos) meaning "honouring God", derived from τιμαω (timao) "to honour" and θεος (theos) "god" - What do you think?? So it's gonna beeee...

TIMOTHY WYNTER AWE REYES
