Getting Bedroom Peanut-Ready

I've spent the last 3 days priming and painting a changing table that Alicia so kindly gave to me. It was brown, but I want everything white - more girly I think. I don't know how good of an idea it was to be painting and bending down at 9 months, but I wanted to do it myself :-)
Here's the finished product drying in the spare room. I have a changing mattress ready to go, and all the toiletries can be stored on the shelves. Jaime will paint the crib (you can see parts in the background) , but we really don't need it until she sleeps in her own room.

Myka and Tio Jaime were so kind to lend me Kellen's traveling bassinet, which is where baby will be until she sleeps through the night. It's so handy because the crib would have been too big for the bedroom. We'll take good care of it for the next baby Awe...perhaps a little girl for Peanut to play with, eh Myka?

Three more days and counting!

Nesting

Today I got a little spurt of energy and started to organize Peanut's clothes, bedding, blankies and towels into her armoire (which is in my bedroom for the time being). Note grandma's crochet afghan on the bottom shelf, and my boppy breastfeeding pillow on the bed.

Office Baby Shower

I'm officially on Maternity Leave now, a few days sooner than the office expected, but they still managed to throw me a really sweet shower complete with CAKE and PREZZIES! It was very sweet of them :-)

30lb of behbeh on my assss

This is about how fat I'm going to get. I weighed myself today and it was 178 which means I gained 30lb! [And I used to complain when I gained 5!!!]

This was December '07 and I was 5lb over-weight. HAAAA!! I will sooo get thin again by December '08!!! Eye of the Tiger, Jaime!

Countdown...

Crib mobile: puffy stars will rotate around a puffy crescent moon. The mobile arms are covered in pink and white gingham fabric, awww.

Morning! I'm 37 weeks today, which is supposedly full-term and baby might want to come any second (she better not). I'm at work for 1 more week because I feel just fine, and figure that 1 more week at work=1 more week at home with the peanut.

She still hasn't turned (Grr) and is quite small at under 6lb. The placenta has some calcification, which means it's aging, so the baby will prob. have to come out before 40 weeks just in case blood supply isn't sufficient for her.

I think I have all the supplies I need; I picked up a microwave bottle sterilizer, baby monitor and crib mobile yesterday. I have tons of clothes and toiletries and Tio J. has let me borrow a traveling crib to use until peanut sleeps in her own room.

Grandma's getting all nervous and says she's going to have a hospital bag packed for herself hehe. I'm not worried about the surgery at all, as long as the peanut pops out fine I will be happy. Jaime will just have to deal with me being even more grumpy because I will be limited in my activities.

Only 4 puppies are left, yeaaay, and 3 should go by Monday so the veranda can get nice and clean before baby's arrival. It's almost time people! Keep your phones on! :-)

Missing my family

Sister and her family and bro. and his wife were here for an all-too-short 3 weeks, and I'm sitting here feeling hormonal and sniffy for no reason. Here are some pics of the crew. This is how we roll!
This is how I feel tonight all alone at home and sniffy. That's how Jaime looked on Saturday when he woke up grumpy hehe.

Two of my favorite people.

All of my favorite people. [Looking cute and toasty p.daddy]

My favorite kids and their tio who will always be my kid brother.

Peanut at 35 weeks

I've been offline for the last 3 weeks, since big sis and her family, and little bro and his even littler wife were all visiting. It was a great time, and I'm sad they're all gone :-( Anyway, here is what peanut and I look like today. Apparently she's still breech so there may be a c-section in my very near future :-|
