Here's Mia in the swing last night, zoning out on the fish and then melting down hehe.

And this is Pdaddy in his new Football jersey that just came from England in the mail (thanks Julie-Anne). He refused to take off. (Note the absent-minded caressing of the England symbol - he really likes this shirt, hehe).

Happy Garifuna Settlement Day! Tia Gladys made "boil up" today and mam came from San Ignacio and we all pigged out (minus the pigtail for me). Tia Chats made some nice coconut pie as well mmmm, and after dessert we inspected Tia G's latest Christmas creations. I also showed Julian and Maria's blog to mam, who bragged about Maria's pumpkin-carving abilities.

Baby had her nice warm bath in the morning. Look at those chubby cheeeeekssss!

I want to wrap her in her froggy towel and eat her up like a burrito!

THIS is how Mia rolls

I just came back from taking Mia on her first stroller ride to the store...



She cried a while then settled, but cried a bit in the store cuz ground was too smooth and she likes to be jostled a bit. She fell asleep on way home but she's already awake on my shoulder and I'm typing one-handed hehe.

New chair for Mia!

We went to Belize City today and got Mia a Fisher-Price Infant-To-Toddler Rocker. It's neat because it rocks, but can also recline to let her sleep in it. It's a good buy because it converts into a toddler chair up to 40lbs so it will get lots of use. It has a soothing vibrate function as well as removable toy bar. The middle toy plays a little tune and the other 2 are detachable rattles/teethers.

This is the recline position (below). You can see here that she is lying on a soft padded navy blue thing - it's a kiddopotamus snuzzler, designed to cradle a small baby's head and body properly in car seats, bouncy chairs and strollers. The reverse side has fleece for colder days. Thanks for the loaner Myka, it works great!

Speaking of strollers, I got one of those as well! Jaime's already set it up, so I'll be sure to post photos tomorrow. I also got her crib bedding, so it's time to set up the Nursery! At 3 months old, Mia will sleep in her own room.

It's 2:50AM and Mia is currently fast asleep in her new chair, so top marks for Fisher-Price!!! I am NOT sleeping because my body is still used to her being awake all night for the last week. Ay Ay Ay!

Aww!

I had Mia over my shoulder burping her last night, and heard her sucking her hand. When I looked, she had her little thumb in her mouth and was sucking away like crazy. Jaime ran for the camera and managed to get this grainy pic before she stopped. I put it in sepia tone because the original photo was overexposed.

Here's Mia studying the fuzzy fish. We went to San Ignacio that night and had SALBUUTEEES and big tall Cokes with Grandma.

Cry baby

Mia decided she wasn't sleeping last night nor today. She only napped 40mins and has been up crying ever since. I'm typing with one hand lol. Good thing Jaime's taking her tonight so i can sleep!

Sleepy time

Mia was a bit "colicky" for the past 2 nights and this morning, so it was nice to see her sleeping soundly. She was stretching in her sleep though - see video.

Kitty PJs

Mia already tried out her new kittycat PJs that Myka selected for her. We know Grandma will love these!! Mom is wearing her snowman PJs since Christmas is almost here. Daddy still doesn't have any cool jammies.

Mia has decided that she will never let her mom sleep again, and enjoys watching the sunrise while mom yawns her head off.
