I think I've stopped being really grumpy & hormonal...

In really early weeks of pregnancy I was misery-guts, grumbling at peanut's dad and just being mean sometimes for no reason. Poor guy took it all in stride and never stopped being sweet a single day.

Now I think I'm much more pleasant to be around. I'm still getting used to the idea of having no control over gaining weight, and i DO grumble about that. I haven't really gained anything to speak of yet, but there's no denying that my jeans feel a bit tighter at the waist. Ay ay ay, here we go! P.S. Nice cowlick in the back of your hair, peanut's dad!

Is the sleepyness finally subsiding?

I haven't had any sickness so far, no cravings, nothing really negative EXCEPT falling asleep too damn early. Those of you that know me well know that I'm a night-owl and usually go to bed no earlier than midnight. Well this pregnancy has had me falling asleep at silly hours like 9:30pm!! I really can't stand it, and poor peanut's dad is left all alone on the sofa watching tv while i snore away.

Anyhoo, I am happy to report that for the last 4 nights I have actually not been too sleepy and managed to stay awake till 11!! Yeaaay. Of course I know I need my rest (blah blah) but peanut told me that 7 hours will do him?/her? just fine.

On another note...
My next scan will be on Tuesday (18th) and peanut's dad will be coming along. I'm excited to see if there is any movement visible on the screen.

Hunger pangs?

Today I feel hungrier than usual...i guess that's a good sign, because my apetite has sucked for the last couple weeks. Coincidentally, I happen to have a snack in my purse...peanuts for the peanut!

9 Weeks: New symptoms

Well I'm theoretically 9 weeks along, and this weekend experienced my first dizzy spells. I was cooking and started feeling very weak and had to sit down, or I'm sure I would have toppled over. It happened again on Sunday when I was washing dishes, and I had to keep lying down to let the feeling pass. (I knew God doesn't like me to wash dishes - a sure sign if you ask me).

I've also started feeling very tired around 3pm, and my food settles heavy in my tummy. No real nausea yet though, thank goodness!

Mom did the needle and thread thing over my pulse to try and guess the baby's sex, but we couldn't tell if it was going in circles or side to side hehe.

According to the various internet sources, Peanut's supposed to be like an inch long right now. Neat!
