Yeay! Umbilical cord dropped!

I was feeding baby last night when something dropped out of her onesie and onto my lap. Lo and behold it was her cord clip. Yeaay! A week to the day of her birth.

Somewhere around 4am :-)

She looks deceptively sleepy, having been attached to the boobs for the last hour or so...

But nooo, just when you think it's time for mommy to get a nap, PING she wakes up. Dad took over and tried a little burping...

PIIIING her eyes were wide open...She nursed for another 10 mins or so (greedy piggy baby) then finally went to sleep. Luckily she didn't wake for almost 3 hours.

I got stitches out today, and it didn't hurt one bit. My tummy is also getting flat and the scales are my friends once more and tell me that I lost around 10lb or so. :-)

So again...who does Mia look like?

This is me around 11 months I guess, before we went to live in England.

Perhaps she has my eyes and my mouth? We all seem to think she has her daddy's nose, but can we really tell so soon? I think she has Jaime's chin... I really hope she doesn't get my frizzy hair, hehe.

I think I overdid it yesterday...the left side of my cut looks a little swollen. I guess Dr. Raju will scold me when I go to see him tomorrow. The floor is bugging me, and I can't sweep it...the dishes are bugging me and I can't stand too long to wash them...the laundry is bugging me and I can't carry heavy loads. Grr! Oh and I've been experiencing mood swings, which apparently come along when you start producing milk. One minute I feel fine, then the next I want to cry for no reason. It's not like a sad feeling, more like a sentimental one, like aww my baby is cute - then the tears come out of nowhere. I better not be getting watery like Tia Maria! How inconvenient!

Gazing up at the ceiling...Mom and I are gonna hang out in the living room today. She's getting sick of the bedroom!!!

This is the face I get when I'm pooing...

This is my curious face. Notice how I like to lean my head to one side, and that my right ear is a little floppy? Mom says she'll call me flopsy bunny...Dr. says my head should correct itself because it is from how I was curled up in the womb.

I think I'm just getting bored here...

And now I'm worried that this woman will never stop taking pics of me. Aren't you supposed to be feeding me or something mama?

Yesterday was rough, but we made it! :-)

Yesterday was a bit stressful, since Mia decided that she had forgotten how to create suction and nurse properly. She was screaming because she couldn't latch on, and it was stressing me out quite a bit since I had no problems the previous days. Anyway, I went online and watched instructional videos and that made me feel better and this morning was a little easier. We're both learning together :-)

C-Section healing pretty well

I'm surprised at how fast I was able to start moving around, considering how painful the first 2 days were. This is the cut (with a few errant pubes photoshopped out haha), which burns a little from time to time, but doesn't hurt as much anymore. Dr. Raju called this morning to say that the stitches will be coming out on Friday - wow that's quick. Neat!
